Phil Foden hopes to see Manchester City duo Rico Lewis and Cole Palmer follow his example in graduating from the academy to nail down a first-team place.
Foden has been the major success story of the club's Elite Development Squad in recent years, working through the age groups from under-9 level before making his senior debut against Feyenoord in 2017. In the six years that have followed, the Stockport-born star has become an icon at his boyhood club, winning several major honours including five Premier League titles and the Champions League.

The trio are among several young stars who have cut their teeth in the EDS, and Foden has praised City's work in blooding young talent, adding that he hopes to see Lewis and Palmer continue their trajectory into first-team regulars.
