Harry and Meghan 'told Queen they never wanted to be on palace balcony', claims pal
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle told the Queen that they never wanted to be on the balcony at Buckingham Palace for her Platinum Jubilee, according to sources. It comes after the palace confirmed only working members of the Royal Family could appear on the balcony on June 2 - leaving Harry and Meghan out in the cold. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are returning to the UK next month with their children for the four-day celebration to mark the monarch’s 70-year reign.Courtiers and aides are continuing to finalise which events they will attend.Despite claiming that they ‘never wanted to appear on the balcony’, a royal insider claims the pair did insist on attending the Queen’s Thanksgiving Service, as reported by The Sun.Biographer and pal Omid Scobie, author of Finding Freedom, denied they were “cut” from the balcony line-up and Trooping the Colour, which marks the monarch’s birthday.Writing for Yahoo news, Mr Scobie said Harry had “spoken with his grandmother about the possibility of not attending Trooping the Colour long before last week’s announcements”.The Sussexes thought it “inappropriate” to appear at the “balcony moment” as they were no longer working royals, he added. It comes as royal experts claimed that the couple is attending the celebrations because they "need to be seen as royal" and the decision to come back is "entirely due to branding".The Duke and Duchess of Sussex announced last week that they would travel from California, US to attend Jubilee events in the first week of June.Since they sensationally stepped down as working royals in 2020, they have only returned to the UK together once, meeting with the Queen at Windsor in April ahead of the Invictus Games.Keep up to date with all the latest news stories.

Harry and Meghan Netflix fears mean 'ring of steel' formed around Queen, expert says
Queen in case Prince Harry and Meghan Markle bring a filming crew with them when they attend the Platinum Jubilee celebrations. After months of speculation, Harry and Meghan have confirmed that they will be flying over from California with their children Archie and Lilibet to celebrate the Queen reaching 70 years on the throne in June. The couple did not announce whether they will be working on the trip, but after Harry was followed by a Netflix crew on a trip to the Hague, some commentators have suggested that royals are worried the couple may pull a “stunt”.Now, speaking to Today Australia, the Daily Mirror’s royal editor Russell Myers noted that any close filming of the Queen for Harry and Meghan’s Netflix deals is unlikely.Despite recent health scares and increasingly common cancellations of public appearances, Russell stressed that the Queen remains the “boss” of the monarchy.“It’s still a sad state of affairs, I do desperately feel for the Queen having to make these sort of decisions at 96 years of age, having given her life to the country, the Commonwealth, indeed the world, and her whole family is imploding around her,” he suggested. And, the royal commentator claimed that this would make it unlikely that the Queen would feature heavily in any documentary project Harry and Meghan might film while visiting the UK for the Jubilee celebrations.“There is an absolute ring of steel around the Queen in terms of her advisors.

Piers Morgan brands Meghan Markle 'huge narcissist' over plans to be US President
Piers Morgan has branded Meghan Markle a "massive narcissist" after the Duchess was tipped to run for President of the United States. The former GMB anchor ripped into Prince Harry's wife Meghan on his TalkTV show - Uncensored - on Tuesday night (May 10).Piers referred to Meghan as a "scheming Princess Pinocchio" as he slated her lack of political experience in a brutally-honest segment called Brain Dump.It comes after the sister and close adviser of Joe Biden, the current US President, suggested Meghan could be a contender for The White House during an interview on GMB.Valerie Biden was asked whether she thought Meghan would make a good potential candidate for US President in the future, to which she replied: "Yes, perhaps of course she will."It prompted Piers to launch into a furious rant at Meghan after playing the clip of Valerie praising Meghan. The TV star proceeded to accuse her of 'hooking her claws' into Harry to become rich and famous. He also claimed Meghan would use the White House as another "rung" as she desperately tries to climb up the social ladder.Piers said: "What? Is that a joke? Perhaps there is somebody out there less suited to becoming the leader of the Free World but I can't currently think of one."Before you think this is some kind of joke, remember that Meghan Markle's old friends probably thought the same thing when she told them she was gonna hook her claws into a British prince and make herself stupendously rich and famous.Piers insisted he wouldn't put anything past the idea that Meghan would one day run for office. He continued: "I wouldn't put anything past this scheming Princess Pinocchio who probably sees The White House as a perfectly feasibly next rung on her relentless climb up the social
