James McAtee continued his fine form with a first senior goal for Manchester City on Wednesday - but admitted he wasn't completely happy with his game against Bayern Munich.
McAtee started for the second time this week in Tokyo as City built on their win over Yokohama with a 2-1 victory over Bayern at the Japan National Stadium. He lost possession a few times but was also lively in attack, and was in the right place to follow up when Julian Alvarez's shot was saved to open the scoring for City.
It was McAtee's first goal for City, although the strike won't count towards any official statistics as it came in a friendly. Still, to score a first senior goal shows that the Salford-born youngster is picking up where he left off last season at Sheffield United.
Despite the goal, McAtee was more concerned with his overall performance, saying that he would have preferred to affect the game more from attacking midfield before he was replaced at half-time.

"It's good to get my first goal," he told City+, suggesting that the stifling heat in Tokyo made things harder for the Blues. "I didn't affect the game as much but I'm happy to get a goal. Happy days.
"I was struggling [with the heat], I looked up at 20 minutes and thought I played 40. Luckily we got a water break, it was a tough game. It's trying to get fitter, playing in the team will only help.
"It's good to be back with the lads, I was away last year. I've come away, got familiar with the lads again and familiar how we play."
McAtee also reserved praise for Rico Lewis, who impressed in a box-to-box midfield role and started the move that ended in the opening goal.
"I said to him before that
