Fans beamed today as Dermot O’Leary shared details of his son Kasper’s christening over the weekend.The star, 47, chatted to co-host Alison Hammond on today’s This Morning, subbing out Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield on the ITV morning show, and gushed about his incredibly busy weekend. Alison asked Dermot: “How was your weekend?” He replied: “Very, very busy.” The presenter explained: “Well, I had Kasper’s baptism last weekend.
“It was lovely, all the family came over from Norway and Ireland, so we’ve been doing stuff with family all week, going for swims, and a railway trip with them.” The TV presenter added: “Yeah, we had a really nice day.” Dermot lives with his wife Dee Koppang and and their son in London.The couple have been married since 2012, and the pair gush about milestones in Kasper’s life on their Instagram. In June 2021, they celebrated his first birthday and Dee posted a photo of a blue party hat.
She added the caption: "And then he was ONE! What an extraordinary & magical year… despite Kasper coming into the world in the middle of a pandemic. "Genuinely didn't think we would get to have this moment of joy - so feeling ridiculously lucky to have our gorgeous little boy in our lives [blue love heart]." Dermot spoke about the birth of his little boy on an interview on Radio 2.
He said: "Every now and again you hear noises and you go, 'What's that noise?' And then you go, 'Oh, that's my child!' He added that he and his wife existed in "that sort of lovely foggy period of just, kind of sleepless love". Soon after Kasper was born, the radio presenter first revealed his son’s name on BBC Radio.
