Jury Sees Pics Of Heard’s Swollen Face After Fight With Depp

FALLS CHURCH, Va. (AP) — Jurors in Johnny Depp’s libel trial against his ex-wife, Amber Heard, saw photos Monday of her with red marks and swelling on her face after their final fight before their divorce, and heard testimony about her expertise in covering up bruises with makeup.

Heard concluded her direct testimony in a Virginia courtroom with a third day that was centered on the final months of her marriage to Depp. His lawyers began their cross-examination later in the afternoon.

The trial is now in its fifth week, and jurors have seen multiple photos of Heard throughout the trial that purport to document the abuse she said she received during her relationship with Depp.

Several of the photos shown Monday, though, had not previously been seen by the jury and showed redness and swelling much more clearly than earlier photos.

Heard said the marks came when Depp threw a phone at her face.

The confrontation in May 2016 prompted Heard to file for divorce two days later. A few days after that, she obtained a temporary restraining order after a courthouse hearing, and was widely photographed leaving the courthouse with a clear red mark on her right cheek.

The final fight has been a key point in the couple’s ongoing dispute. Depp is suing Heard in Fairfax County Circuit Court for libel over a December 2018 op-ed she wrote in The Washington Post describing herself as “a public figure representing domestic abuse.” His lawyers say he was defamed by the article even though it never mentioned his name.

Coleen Rooney 'accepts' leaks could have come from other sources, court hears
Coleen Rooney took the stand in her High Court trial against Rebekah Vardy admitting she “accepts” that leaks could have come from other sources.Mrs Rooney gave evidence on day five of the High Court libel case brought by Mrs Vardy, who denies leaking private information about her to the Sun.Despite the omission, Coleen, 36, claimed she still believes Rebekah Vardy was The Secret WAG - or heavily behind the controversial leaks that landed the pair in court.Vardy’s lawyer, Hugh Tomlinson, also heard Coleen accept that nothing from her private Instagram account had appeared in the column and it had been kind to her.But she said she believed that was a `distraction' to put people off guessing who was behind it.She said she believed a story about her going back into TV was a leak from her account - though now she accepted it may have come from another source.“I don't even know whether I will go back into TV,'' she said.Rooney said the next published leak of a fake story was about her flooded basement.“The story was fake,'' she said.“There was nothing to it.''Afterwards, Rooney posted on her private Instagram: “Don't play games with a girl who can play better.''Tomlinson asked why.Coleen said: “I felt like I'd found out who it was.“It was a quote that I found and put it up. It is just something that I did.''Tomlinson asked if she had considered telling Vardy before publicly exposing her.Coleen added: “No.

Dad joked his son was being eaten by shark as actual shark savaged him
savaged by a shark. On September 29, 2018, 13-year-old Keane Hayes had been diving for lobster off the coast of California when he felt a violent tug on his body. After initially thinking he had been pranked by his diving partner, the teenager looked down and saw that his wetsuit had been shredded and he was bleeding heavily.Letting out a gut piercing scream, Keane found the strength to paddle to a nearby kayak and was taken to shore.Meanwhile, on the shore, Keane's parents were blissfully ignorant of their son's horror plight.Speaking to the Washington Post, the now 17-year-old's mum Ellie Hayes said that when she heard the screams she had been on the phone to her husband Ben.At the time he had laughed away her fears, saying: "It was probably just Keane getting eaten by a shark."While Keane hadn't been eaten by the sea beast, he had been savaged. The bite from the unknown shark had completely lacerated his body with lifeguards testifying they could see his lungs after they had rescued him.The attack had also fractured his scapula, shattered his humerus (upper arm), torn his rotator cuff (muscles and tendons surrounding the shoulder joint), and left him with several back injuries. He was also missing parts of his deltoid (shoulder) and latissimus dorsi muscles, which cover the middle and lower back. Keane was placed in surgery for five hours and received over 1,000 stitches for his wounds. And remarkably, Keane has returned to the water despite the attack.

police officers attending a report of a domestic dispute found a baby “covered in faeces” and wrapped in a filthy, urine-soaked blanket according to one deputy at the scene.”The tot had a dummy in its mouth that was covered in human poo, according to an arrest report from the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office.Police had been called to the address in Tampa, Florida, in response to a report that Doreen Wakefield had attacked her girlfriend in a drunken fight.A report says that Wakefield, 21, had beaten the other woman up in the early hours of Friday morning, shoving her through a door and hitting her repeatedly.According to reports, Wakefield had been holding the baby, which is less than a year old, during the altercation. When officers arrived shortly before 3am Wakefield appeared to be intoxicated, the police report states. After Wakefield was arrested, a sheriff’s deputy told local news site WFLA, the baby was discovered to be lying their own faeces “in a crib covered in faecal matter”.In an arrest report, deputy wrote that the baby was found to be sucking on a pacifier covered in faecal matter and was wrapped in a blanket soaked with urine and other human waste.Further investigation revealed that the baby had sores on its groin and thighs. The deputy said the sores could either have been from chafing, or just from being left to lie in its own urine for some considerable time.A search of the property found no appropriate food for the infant, a police affidavit stated.Wakefield has been charged with neglect of a child and domestic battery.Under Florida state law, neglect of a child is considered a felony.
