Former Emmerdale icon Adam Thomas first to 'sign up' for Strictly Come Dancing 2022

Adam Thomas is believed to be the first celebrity to have "signed up" for this year's Strictly Come Dancing. Adam, 33, is rumoured to be in talks with BBC executives to star in series 20 of the hotly anticipated dance competition show which will air the in autumn.

The former Emmerdale star will follow in co-star Kelvin Fletcher's footsteps after the actor won the series alongside professional Oti Mabuse, 31, in 2019. According to The Sun, Adam is in the process of agreeing a deal ahead of the series returning later in the year.

A source told the publication: "Adam has got what it takes to win and is already practising his moves. And he's got a big female fanbase."
