‘I’m the UK’s most tattooed woman - my ink-free boyfriend is so proud’

Becky Holt has spent over a decade adorning her body with body art, and now the 34 year old is Britain's most tattooed woman. Her boyfriend Ben Mason, 23, meanwhile has so far abstained from any inkings. They may not seem like a well matched couple on first appearances, but when OK! met their first photo shoot as a couple it was immediately clear that their love runs much deeper than their differing views on tattoos...

"Ben and I are like chalk and cheese, in both our looks and our personalities. I’m a real extrovert whereas he’s far more reserved. We get odd looks all the time, but somehow our relationship just works," explains Becky.

"When I met Ben at a local pub at the start of last year, I was content and confident with my striking appearance – and he sensed that and found it attractive. Ben doesn’t have any tattoos at all so we’re opposites in that respect, but we connected over our love of family and finding the fun in every situation. We became best friends, then one evening in December, after a ‘mate date’, everything changed.

I went in for a drunken snog and he admitted he’d liked me for a long time, but assumed I didn’t feel the same way. We were both shocked that we’d fallen for someone so different. Yet everything is so easy with Ben.

Instead of trying to change bad boys, which had been my default behaviour, I realised I needed a nice guy – a hard worker with family values. He loves my tattoos and gives me big hugs, saying how proud he is of me for owning the attention I get. He says I’m his arm candy! It doesn’t matter that we look so different – our love is bigger than that.

Earlier this month, Selling Sunset star Chrishell Stause revealed that she is in a relationship with Australian singer G Flip, who identifies as non-binary. Since then, the 40 year old has opened up about her sexuality and in one Instagram post she explained: “I know that some of you won't understand this or agree with this, but for me, it is about the person. It is about their heart." Like Chrishell, Julie Cohen, 52, an author from Berkshire, was also in her 40s when she came out.
