EastEnders fans were left incredibly disappointed as their favourite BBC soap was unfortunately pulled from today's schedule, 16 January. BBC bosses chose to remove the serial drama from its usual slot as a result of scheduling conflicts.
Normally, fans can tune in to all the latest Walford action on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays at either 7.30pm or 8pm on BBC One. But tonight's episode was shifted to Wednesday instead as the channel is airing the FA Cup football game between Bristol City and West Ham United.
The match has also forced school-based drama Waterloo Road out of its usual time slot at 8pm. While TV-watchers only have to wait until Wednesday to watch the latest EastEnders episode, many were fuming to learn the news.
Taking to X, formerly known as Twitter, to vent their frustrations, one person raged: "This whole thing with no episode from #EastEnders because football is on is ridiculous, as if we could give 2 f**ks about football. "Imagine the outrage if the match got moved." "Excuse you WHERE is the episode???? hate football so much, can they not just create a whole new channel just for EastEnders may I ask," another person commented.
A third person posted: "F**k football man, I need Eastenders." While a fourth viewer complained: "For the love of God BBC how hard is it to put EastEnders on the iPlayer even if it is not on TV tonight because of some c****y football game? "Or stop putting football on when EastEnders is meant to be on, you have other channels?" Fans may have to wait to watch the next instalment of the Albert Square action, but there will be plenty to hold on and get excited for. Things continue to heat up between Sam Mitchell (played by Kim Medcalf) and her brother Phil Mitchell
