BBC EastEnders' Diane Parish reveals 'excruciating' role on soap years before Denise Fox

EastEnders' Navin Chowdhury has shared a touching tribute to his 'brave' wife Charlie following her cancer diagnosis.

EastEnders actress Jessie Wallace has wowed fans on social media after showcasing her dramatic new look. The 52 year old soap star has appeared on the popular BBC One show since 2000 and is best known for playing Walford icon Kat Slater, whose storylines have seen the character become a millionaire, have a long-lost son and play a central role in the recent Christmas ‘The Six’ twist. As a familiar face to many viewers, the actress has recently taken to Instagram to debut a very different “rock chick” look after opting for a change during a recent hair cut.

EastEnders viewers have caught an 'incest blunder' in a storyline on the soap, saying 'the writers forgot' about who was related. On Thursday, 15 February's episode there was plenty of drama, but fans pointed out a big flaw in the storyline.

EastEnders fans think they've figured out a huge twist after Linda Carter confessed to Keanu Taylor's murder. Linda has been battling with her drinking since Christmas, when she shockingly killed Keanu after he attacked Sharon on their wedding day. Nish was also hurt in a different attack and The Six have decided to blame Nish's attack on Keanu, saying he has run away from the Square to avoid the police.

EastEnders' Nish Panesar actor, Navin Chowdhury, has been sharing heartfelt messages of support for his wife Charlie as she bravely battles cancer. Away from the screen, Navin's life is worlds away from his television persona. His wife Charlie of 12 years underwent surgery for breast cancer in February 2023, following her diagnosis in 2020, with the actor regularly sharing updates of her progress to Instagram.

EastEnders fans were shocked as George Knight's real dad was revealed, in what they're branding the 'best episode ever'. In Tuesday's soap instalment on 13 February, George's adoptive parents, Eddie and Gloria, paid him a visit to discuss George being a character witness for Eddie, as he's been charged with racially aggravated murder. And on Wednesday, George – who's played by veteran actor Colin Salmon – had a private chat with his dad where he confessed that he recognised the man Eddie is accused of murdering.

Fans are still in shock at the loss of legendary DJ, Steve Wright, who tragically died on Monday, 12 February, aged 69. Steve's family announced the heartbreaking news, saying: "It is with deep sorrow and profound regret that we announce the passing of our beloved Steve Wright. In addition to his son, Tom, and daughter, Lucy, Steve leaves behind his brother, Laurence and his father Richard.

Ever since George Knight’s parents arrived in Albert Square earlier this year, the EastEnders newcomer has found his life turned upside down as secret after secret emerged regarding his identity. For all of his life George had known he was adopted by a white family, but in recent weeks it had since transpired that George was actually adopted via a process called “farming” in which wealthy white families were paid to adopt black children during the 60s and 70s.

He is absolutely devastated." He added: "It's too much of a shock for him to understand the implications of the state Linda is in immediately.

Ever since Nish Panesar arrived in EastEnders back in September 2022, the Walford bad boy has made a name for himself in Albert Square as a no nonsense businessman with a brutal and often sinister side to him. Everyone's soap favourite, Bobby Brazier, who recently wowed us on Strictly Come Dancing, has shared his excitement for returning to EastEnders.The 20 year old actor took a break from the popular BBC soap to show off his dance moves alongside partner Dianne Buswell in the latest series. Bobby became a fan-favourite for playing Freddie Slater on EastEnders during 2022. His work won him a National Television Award but he decided to hit pause on his soap career so he could take centre stage on Strictly.

Comedian Bobby Davro has had a minor stroke after fainting at a comedy show.The former EastEnders star had just finished his performance and received a standing ovation from the audience at his sold-out gig. Bobby, 65, had a 'funny turn' at the Coulsdon Comedy Club in South London last Thursday night.This happened after he had to cancel shows because he fell ill during a performance. The much loved star had been having a tough time lately, after his late fiancee Vicky Wright passed away in May last year.

Lorraine Stanley is set to reprise her EastEnders role, with Karen Taylor returning to Albert Square following her son's disappearance. Karen had recently left Albert Square and moved to sunny Spain after she took the blame for kidnapping Albie, with residents of Walford later discovering that it was actually her son Keanu who was responsible for this.

Shona McGarty has been filming her final scenes as Whitney Dean, ahead of exit from EastEnders after nearly two decads in the much-loved role. The actress, 32, has played Whitney since her first appearance in Albert Square back in 2008, and has had a number of dramatic storylines including childhood sexual abuse, sexual exploitation, and pregnancy loss. Her most recent storylines saw Whitney discover she was pregnant just months after losing her baby daughter Peach after giving birth to her 18 weeks into the pregnancy following a diagnosis of Edwards' syndrome.

BBC The Traitors star Charlotte Chilton has revealed that she almost took her own life when she was battling with an agonising pain disorder known as 'suicide disease'.The recruitment manager was the latest contestant to be banished from the show as her fellow contestants falsely accused her of playing the role of a Traitor. Since leaving the show, in scenes which aired last week, the 32 year old has candidly opened up on the chronic condition -trigeminal neuralgia, which has caused her to miss out “on a lot of things in life”.

Fans of BBC soap EastEnders are preparing to say goodbye to a legend. Actress Tameka Empson, who brings Kim Fox to life on screen, is temporarily exiting Albert Square as she embarks on an exciting new adventure. On Monday's edition of The One Show, 22 January, Tameka shared the news of her departure, assuring fans: "Kim's gonna be okay! She's gonna be ok - she's going on a nice cruise with Howie and the children.

EastEnders fans believe they may have rumbled a huge twist on the horizon after Gina Knight and Dean Wicks’ secret romance was exposed during this week’s first visit to Walford. As regular viewers will know, Gina has been secretly dating rapist Dean Wicks - who brutally assaulted Linda Carter during his previous stint in Albert Square - but has kept things out of the spotlight so as not to upset her family, in particular her father George Knight who happens to be dating Linda’s mum Elaine! Given Dean’s history, much of Walford has been less than impressed with his return to the Square, but despite knowing the allegations against him, Gina declared that she believes him over Linda, in scenes that fans are convinced may be part of a bigger plot to expose his ways.

James Alexandrou, who played the original Martin Fowler, has revealed he will soon be stepping foot back in Walford 17 years on from his exit as the 38-year-old takes on a new role on EastEnders.
