Leftfield announce intimate UK tour dates, share new track ‘Accumulator’
Leftfield have shared a high-octane new single, ‘Accumulator’, and announced a run of “intimate” UK tour dates ahead of their new album ‘This Is What We Do’ in December.A press release describes ‘Accumulator’ as “a combination of skin and circuits, old and new,” as well as “an instinctive nod towards classic rave sounds”.It was also the first track written for the album, and was tested early on by Neil Barnes – who has led the project since the band’s initial split in 2002, when he and band member Paul Daley decided to pursue separate projects – during his DJ sets.Listen to ‘Accumulator’ below.Back in July, the band shared details of their forthcoming album ‘This Is What We Do’, as well as the record’s first single, ‘Pulse’.The announcement marked the first new music from the London electronic outfit since 2015’s ‘Alternative Light Source’. Recorded with long-time studio and mix engineer Adam Wren, the new album will feature guest contributions from Fontaines D.C. frontman Grian Chatten, author and poet Lemn Sissay, and more.According to a press release, the album will explore “themes around love, acceptance, diversity and healing,” particularly in the wake of both the coronavirus pandemic and Barnes addressing his “own drive to heal childhood trauma as a backdrop.”‘This Is What We Do’ is set to be released via Virgin Records on December 2.

The Chase have slammed producers for their question on the artist Bansky.Viewers of ITV tuned into Monday's Installment of The Chase presented by Bradley Walsh which saw Salon Owner Gillian from Bangor, Chemistry Student Spencer from Henley in Arden, Pharmacist Emma from Aberdeen and Local Government Officer Wayne from Tunbridge Wells try to outsmart Mark Labbett.But the programme makers may have inadvertently created a reoccurring feature which hasn't gone down well with viewers online.READ MORE: The Chase's Bradley Walsh recalls awkward brush with the police during holiday During the programme, Bradley asked a question relating to the infamous street artist Bansky, for which eagle eyed viewer spotted the presenter has done so before on a number of occasions.37-year-old Emma and 54-year-old Wayne managed to make it through the cash builder rounds for the final chase with 'The Beast' Mark Labbett.As they competed to win £12,000, Bradley asked "The Grin Reaper is a work by which Bristol street artist?", to which viewers took issue with as it related to the artist Banksy.One viewer noted: "I’m sure there’s a question about Banksy on every single episode of The Chase." Rapper and ex-footballer dies aged 21 after being stabbed at Notting Hill Carnival
Rapper and ex-footballer Takayo Nembhard, who was known by the name TKorStretch, has died at the age of 21.The star was stabbed at Notting Hill Carnival on Monday and later died of his injuries in hospital.The rapper was stabbed under the Westway flyover in Ladbroke Grove, west London, on Monday at around 8pm.Ambulance services were called to the scene, where paramedics fought to save the young artist as he was rushed to hospital. Takayo was later pronounced dead, and tributes have since been pouring in from friends on social media.The star’s manager Chris Patrick  took to his Instagram to share the devastating news with his 10.8K followers.Chris included a few pictures of Takayo, writing: “2 years ago a young 19 Year old man came from Bristol to meet me at my Studio with his dad, his name was Takayo Nembhard AKA TKorStretch.“That meeting took us on a journey…we recorded some great music together. “His talent was endless and I can tell you guys he was close to greatness!“So it’s with a heavy heart that I bring the news that Takayo (TKorStretch) passed away last night.”“He came from Bristol to simply have a good time at the London carnival and this is the end result!“My deepest condolences to TK’s Mother & Father his Brother, 2 Sisters, Girlfriend and child that will never meet his father!“TK was a good kid, a good guy and what has happened breaks my heart… Rest in peace my friend.” (sic)Many of the star’s followers commented “RIP” below, while Steven Bakopoulos wrote: “So sad so talented my son produced a few songs for him I had spoken to him he told me my son was talented that meant a lot.” (sic)Louise Parker added: “Devastated for his family .
