Josie Gibson became a household name this summer after she was drafted in by ITV to support Holly Willoughby on her return to This Morning, but she isn't sticking around.

This Morning regular presenters Alison Hammond and Dermot O’Leary have headed on their summer holidays, as they take a break from hosting the programme. During today’s show, 28 July, the two had some banter after recent quashing claims that their relationship is “strained” as they were served a fry-up during one segment. Dermot, 50, was delighted at the fact he was getting to taste the meal, as well as some bubbly which is supposed to compliment your tastebuds while eating a takeaway.

Ruth Langsford is reportedly in line to make a surprising return to This Morning, two years after she and husband Eamonn Holmes lost their regular role on the show. According to a new report, the producers of This Morning have been in touch with Ruth about a possible return which comes after Philip Schofield’s exit from the show in May. Sources are now claiming Ruth will be offered another stint as presenter in the same week that it was also claimed producers decided to make Holly Willoughby the centre of the show.They have apparently arranged for her to host with different colleagues rather than just the one.

Viewers who were looking forward to tuning into This Morning on Monday (July 24) will have been left disappointed as the ITV show has been taken off-air. The flagship show normally airs every Monday to Friday from 10am until 12:30pm with the likes of Holly Willoughby, Dermot O'Leary and Alison Hammond hosting.

ITV is switching up its usual daytime schedule this week which will see viewers' favourite shows taken off air. As part of a major shake-up, Good Morning Britain, This Morning, Lorraine and Loose Women have each been cancelled on Monday (July 24), with some shows remaining off-air for the rest of the week.
