During the news segment of the show, Scottish presenter Isla Traquair hopped onto the sofa to discuss the “UK’s favourite cocktail”, and drink the alcoholic beverage on air.
Everyone on the sofa took a sip of the classic margarita before Alison joked: “I thought I asked for a non-alcoholic one, I can’t drink this I’m working.” After taking a gulp of the cocktail, Isla then started laughing and said: “I'm not a drinker, but I have had one sip and I’m clearly p****d already”. The alcohol didn’t appear to effect Alison or Dermott on the other hand as they rapidly jumped in to apologise on Isla’s behalf.
Dermot said: "Sorry about Isla." Viewers watching the show found the slip-up funny however, as one person wrote on Twitter: “Isla made me laugh”, while another said: “Lightweight on #thismorning p****d after one sip of a cocktail”. A third added: “Isla should come on #thismorning more often, we need more drunk guests, would liven this show up”.
Fans also appear to be thrilled that presenters Alison and Dermott have taken over for Holly Willoughby while she is on her annual summer break from the show, as fans called for them to be “permanent” presenters. Earlier on Tuesday morning, Alison shared a sweet video dancing with Dermott and having fun before they started the show, with one fan commenting: “I want these 2 permanently”.
Another fan commented: “the 2 of you you’re made to work together”, while a third added: “Love you two you both make me so happy”. Another adoring fan wrote: “love
