Maksim Chmerkovskiy, 42, walked through what Ukrainian refugees can expect to see in the Polish town Medyka, while leaving their home country amidst the war with Russia. Elon Musk is looking to throw down with Russian President Vladimir Putin. The Tesla co-founder, 50, challenged Putin, 69, to a one-on-one fight amidst Russia’s tragic invasion of Ukraine. “I hereby challenge Vladimir Putin to single combat,” Elon wrote on Twitter March 14. “Stakes are Ukraine,” he added. Elon wrote Putin’s name in Russian and Ukraine in Ukrainian.

Though the tragedy unfolding in Ukraine has pulled the nation apart, influential cultural figures around the world have come together to show support for the country currently under Russian invasion. Before Maks got on a train from Poland and escaped his native country, he was arrested for breaking curfew. “They’re like, ‘Passport.’ I pull out my American passport. Sean Penn, 61, continued to chronicle his time in Ukraine on Monday, Feb. 28,  tweeting what he and his colleagues witnessed while waking to the Polish border. The Oscar-winner shared a photo of himself walking down a long road with his luggage in tow and what appeared to be miles of cars lining the road. “Myself & two colleagues walked miles to the Polish border after abandoning our car on the side of the road. Almost all the cars in this photo carry women & children only, most without any sign of luggage, and a car, their only possession of value,” he wrote.

Chef José Andrés is helping feed Ukrainians who are seeking refugee in Poland amidst the attacks from Russia. José, 52, revealed on Twitter February 25 that his nonprofit organization World Central Kitchen is stationed at the Ukrainian-Poland border helping feed refugees. “People of the World…Like you, I am distraught watching Ukraine under attack.
