Since then, the likes of RZA, Erykah Badu, Alicia Keys, John Legend, Rick Ross and more have all taken part.

Swizz Beatz has revealed that Dr. Dre almost took part in a VERZUZ battle but pulled out at the eleventh hour.VERZUZ is the popular entertainment series that pits producers, songwriters and artists against each other in a rap battle style format on Instagram Live and Triller.Competitors take it in turns playing a song from a list of 20 from their discography, as fans, friends and fellow artists watch on.

Verzuz, the wildly popular pandemic-era live-streamed music series, has been sold to the Triller Network, the company behind the video platform Triller, according to a Pitchfork report. Swizz Beatz and Timbaland, the hip-hop megaproducers behind Verzuz, will become "larger shareholders" as part of the deal, according to the report.
