Justin Timberlake moves on from the first single to the second one within less than a month.Especially when you’re launching a critical comeback attempt like “Everything I Thought It Was” — his first album since 2018’s “Man of the Woods” — which arrives on March 15.But “Selfish,” despite its smooth midtempo groove and all of JT’s falsetto feels, barely cracked the Top 20 on the Billboard Hot 100. Just four weeks after its release, the much-anticipated single currently stands at a very unsexy No.

Justin Timberlake's two word 'Britney comment' as he breaks silence on her explosive memoir

Justin Timberlake said “no disrespect” before singing Cry Me a River live on stage - in an apparent reference to his ex Britney Spears' new memoir. The 42 year old singer, formerly a member of boyband NSYNC, reportedly made the comment before launching into his hit song at Fontainebleau in Las Vegas this week. The track caused a stir when it was released in 2002 - eight months after Justin and Britney split - as it implied that she had been unfaithful to him when they were together. Lyrics in the song included: "You don't have to say, what you did, I already know, I found out from him.” And further fuelled was added to fire when a Britney lookalike was cast in the music video for the song.

And it went off, and it shot me, grazed my neck. It went in from an angle and I flinched,” Timbaland, whose real name is Timothy Mosley, told the journalist.“I couldn’t feel my arm.

Timbaland sorry for saying Justin Timberlake should have “put a muzzle” on Britney Spears

Timbaland has apologised after suggesting that Justin Timberlake “should have put a muzzle” on Britney Spears. The record producer was speaking to fellow producer 9th Wonder in a live broadcast from Washington DC’s Kennedy Center at the end of last month when he made the comments in light of Spears’ new memoir. In an excerpt from The Woman In Me, Spears writes that Timberlake’s ‘Cry Me a River’ music video positioned her as the villain in the breakdown of their romantic relationship. The story in the video seemingly confirmed a rumour in the media that Spears had cheated on Timberlake – but Spears has claimed in her memoir that he was the first to cheat. When taking a question from an audience member about the renewed interest in ‘Cry Me a River’ following the release of Spears’ memoir, Timbaland said: “She goin’ crazy, right? I wanted to call JT, ‘Man, you gotta put a muzzle on that girl.'”Timbaland – who co-wrote and co-produced ‘Cry Me a River’ and also sings the bridge and appears in the music video – was met with backlash online for his comments.Timbaland apologizes to Britney and her fans tonight on TikTok
