Action film stalwart Jason Statham no longer wants a meticulously renovated and carefully updated mid-century residence in the ritzy foothills above L.A.’s Sunset Strip, setting it out for sale this week with an almost $7 million price tag. One of Hollywood’s most bankable stars, whose 2019 blockbuster “Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbes & Shaw” hauled more than three-quarters of a billion dollars in worldwide box office, Statham purchased the property in 2015 for $2.7 million.

Having already plunked down close to $18 million on great big mansion in the celeb-packed Hidden Hills community in L.A.’s far western suburbs, 12-time NBA All Star Dwyane Wade and “Being Mary Jane” actor Gabrielle Union have unsurprisingly hung a $6.2 million asking price on their former home, a Sherman Oaks, Calif., mansion they picked up not quite two years ago for a tad bit shy of $6 million.

A brand-spanking-new and decadently appointed ultra-modern villa, all but invisible behind electronic gates along a pine-lined boulevard in an affluent if somewhat under-the-radar neighborhood of L.A’s proto-suburban Sherman Oaks community, was sold for $5.8 million and tax records indicate the new owner is “Criminal Minds” and “S.W.A.T.” star Shemar Moore.

While 2019’s first half was a particularly sluggish time for L.A.’s luxury real estate market, the back half made for the wildest year to date, bowing out with three $100+ million transactions and tallying no fewer than 17 other deals of $30 million or more.

Though he has long made his primary residence in Malibu, for more than a dozen years Kenny G has kept a low-key home in the trendy and increasingly spendy Studio City area of L.A.’s sprawling San Fernando Valley that’s come back for sale on the open market at $3.5 million. The new price tag is less than the nearly $3.7 million it was last listed at almost a year ago and substantially under the not quite $4 million the property was saddled with when it first popped up for sale in late 2018.

Disney darling turned golden piped international pop star Demi Lovato has put her contemporary villa above L.A.’s Laurel Canyon back up for sale at just under $9 million. The 27-year-old five-time People’s Choice Award winner and two-time Grammy nominee, who gave a powerful performance her new single “Anyone” at the Grammys in January and slayed the National Anthem at last weekend’s Super Bowl game, bought the privately sited property in the fall of 2016 for $8.3 million.

An enviably private estate that borders the pristine greens of the ultra-prestigious Bel-Air Country Club, long owned by actor/director JoBeth Williams and director/producer John Pasquin, has come to market with an eye-catching price tag a smidgen under $30 million. Property records indicate the married showbiz veterans have owned the mostly flat and fully landscaped 2.5-acre spread since 1997.

Having significantly upgraded in late 2018 to a multi-million dollar home in an exclusive, guard-gated L.A. enclave — a bit more on the at in a minute, standup comedian Chris D’Elia is no doubt increasingly eager to sell an East Coast-style traditional residence in the fabled Laurel Canyon area that’s recently returned to the open market with an asking price of $2.868 million.

Though she’s mostly kept a low profile since the March 2019 death of her longtime partner, Grammy-winning rapper-activist Nipsey Hussle, film and television actor Lauren London recently inked a $1.7 million off-market deal for a fresh residential start in the form of a charming L.A. cottage.
