Though she’s probably best-known to the general public as Gerard Butler’s longtime on/off girlfriend, Morgan Brown has substantial independent means of her own — she’s an accomplished interior designer and real estate investor who’s owned and built a number of luxury homes in the L.A. area. She’s also a daughter of the late Harry Joe Brown Jr., a prominent property developer, and the granddaughter of prolific Hollywood producer Harry Joe Brown Sr.

After a long slog on the market, an infamous mansion looming high above L.A.’s Sunset Strip has sold to local investor Joe Simsoly in an $18.5 million deal. That’s a very big number, of course, but it’s also more than $20 million less than the property last fetched in November 2012, when it transferred for a record-breaking $39 million to Malaysian playboy Jho Low.

With the dust still settling from Jeff Bezos’ $165 million splurge on David Geffen’s nearby Jack Warner estate, billionaire former casino mogul Steve Wynn has decided now is the time to shoot for the proverbial stars. His freshly redone mega-manor in Beverly Hills is available as a $135 million pocket listing.

A castle-like home in L.A.’s Hollywood Hills was sold in an all-cash deal for $8.5 million — considerably less than the original price of almost $13 million when the property first came for sale almost two years ago and a staggering $3.5 million below the almost $12 million the seller paid in September 2018 — and the new owners appear to be “The Walking Dead” star Norman Reedus and his fashionable, model-actor girlfriend Diane Kruger.
