BamBam has revealed that Day6 member Young K was originally supposed to debut in GOT7.Day6’s Young K recently made a guest appearance on BamBam’s YouTube show, Bam House, where the GOT7 member spoke about the pair’s time at JYP Entertainment. Notably, BamBam left the K-pop agency in 2021, alongside his follow GOT7 members.“Guys, I’ve said this many times before, but you know how I wasn’t part of the pre-debut GOT7 team at first, right? Let me tell you something that may shock you. Young K was [a member of] GOT7 before I was,” BamBam said in the video while introducing the Day6 singer.The Thai musician then compared the situation to their JYP Entertainment seniors, 2AM and 2PM, and how the members of those two groups had “moved about” before their official debut.“And basically, Young K was like them.

K-pop girl group H1-KEY and Young K have collaborated for a special performance of ‘Rose Blossom’.During the September 8 episode of late-night South Korean music talk show The Seasons: Long Day, Long Night with AKMU, rookie girl group H1-KEY made a guest appearance to perform their January single ‘Rose Blossom’ with Day6 member singer Young K, who penned the track.Their performance remained largely true to the original ‘Rose Blossom’, with its instrumental being performed by a live band. Day6 bassist and vocalist Young K has shared snippets of songs from his upcoming debut studio album.On August 17, the musician shared a series of “lyric spoiler clips” via JYP Entertainment’s YouTube channel. The three songs, ‘waited’, ‘nothing but’ and ‘let it be summer’, are from Young K’s upcoming debut studio album ‘Letters With Notes’, which will be released on September 4 at 6pm KST.The second track ‘nothing but’ will serve as the record’s title track.

Day6 have renewed their contracts with longtime agency JYP Entertainment.On the morning of September 26, JYP Entertainment told Sports DongAh that all four members of the act — Sungjin, Young K, Wonpil and Dowoon — had renewed their exclusive contracts with the agency.“We plan to continue our meaningful journey together based on the foundation of deep trust between Day6, a group with a signature sound, and JYP Entertainment, which has a lot of experience in band management,” said the agency, as translated by Soompi.It later added: “We will become a dependable pillar for Day6’s future, and we will be unsparing in our strategic support so that Day6 can fly even higher in the future.”The news comes just weeks after the band marked their seventh anniversary since their debut in September 2015. Day6 member Wonpil has made his solo debut with the full-length album ‘Pilmography’.The South Korean musician released the 10-track ‘Pilmography’ at 6pm KST today (February 7), alongside a music video for title track ‘Voiceless’.
