BLACKPINK member Jisoo’s long-awaited solo debut is finally on the way, with a music video in the works.On February 21, YG Entertainment shared that the K-pop idol is currently filming the music video for her first-ever solo single.“The music video for Jisoo’s solo track is being filmed overseas for all the [filming] locations in strict secrecy,” revealed the agency, as translated by Soompi, adding: “It is worth anticipating as we invested the highest production cost of all BLACKPINK videos to date.”The news comes just over a month after Jisoo and YG Entertainment shared that the BLACKPINK singer would be making her solo debut in 2023. At the time, the idol announced on fan community platform Weverse that she would be releasing solo material this year.YG Entertainment later confirmed the news and revealed that that Jisoo had already shot concept photos for the album, adding that the singer “worked on music production whenever she got the time” while on the girl group’s massive, ongoing Born Pink world tour.Details such the title, tracklist and release date of Jisoo’s forthcoming solo record are still unavailable, however.The 28-year-old Jisoo will become the fourth and final BLACKPINK member to release solo music.

YG Entertainment has announced that it will be taking legal action against people “illegally” distributing BLACKPINK member Jennie’s “private” photos.In a statement issued to the press earlier today (October 3), the girl group’s management agency announced that it has enlisted the help of police to investigate those responsible for circulating “private” photos of Jennie that have been the subject of recent tabloid coverage.“We have refrained from mentioning the matter or making an official statement in order to minimize any further damage,” the agency’s statement read, per Korea JoongAng Daily. “However, there have been indiscriminate rumours, criticism, personal attacks, sexual harassment and violations of personal life sparked by those private photographs.”The statement claims that the agency has already taken legal action against online users who have made “malicious posts, or those which repeatedly upload unconfirmed claims,” and is currently looking into lodging additional penalties for other damages caused by the leak.“The photos [of Jennie] distributed online were made public illegally, without Jennie’s consent.

BLACKPINK share striking teaser for ‘Pink Venom’ music video

BLACKPINK have shared a striking new teaser for the music video for their new single ‘Pink Venom’, ahead of its release later this week.The track will serve as the lead single for the K-pop girl group’s second album, ‘BORN PINK’, which is due out in September.The short teaser opens with dust blowing towards the camera, a sharp blade striking a swinging pendulum and a close-up of someone playing the traditional Korean instrument called a gayageum. The scenes then change to show rows of figures dressed in black satin hooded cloaks kneeling on the floor, pink glowing from beneath their hoods.As the clip ends, the four members of BLACKPINK – Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé and Lisa – are seen in various shots, as the line “I bring the pain like” rings out.
