BLACKPINK confirm release date for new single ‘Pink Venom’

Arctic Monkeys have announced the release date for their forthcoming seventh album, The Car.

The distributor has also set a Nov. 18 theatrical release date.“The Inspection” is the narrative debut for writer-director Elegance Bratton, who previously helmed the feature documentary “Pier Kids,” which followed homeless queer youth in New York, and the Vice docuseries “My House,” which followed competitive ballroom dancing.Bratton pulled from his own experiences as a gay man in Marine Corps basic training during the Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell era for “The Inspection.” The drama stars Jeremy Pope as Ellis French, a troubled man who enlists after being rejected by his mother (Gabrielle Union).

BLACKPINK have returned with ‘Pink Venom’, the lead single from their imminent ‘Born Pink’ album.The song was first teased at the very start of the month (on August 1), when BLACKPINK confirmed their return in a video outlining the ‘Born Pink’ timeline – they’d release a single this month and the album itself in September, before kicking off “the largest world tour in the history of a K-pop girl group” in October.Listen to ‘Pink Venom’, which features the use of the traditional Korean string instrument called the gayageum, and watch the music video below:‘Born Pink’ will be released on September 16 via YG Entertainment. According to the label, the title for the album “implies the identity” of the group, “which is never ordinary and will exude a fatal aura”.

The National have shared further details of their new single, ‘Weird Goodbyes’, featuring Bon Iver.Pictures of posters advertising the new song began to circulate online, with the band later confirming their legitimacy by changing their cover photos on social media to include the same artwork.Now The National have taken to Instagram to provide more information to fans, as well as a release date.“Last spring, the band reconvened at Long Pond to begin writing and recording new music that we’ve been working on ever since,” the statement reads.“‘Weird Goodbyes’ featuring Bon Iver felt like the right track to share first and is one of a handful of new songs we’ve been performing on tour this summer. We’re so grateful to our friend Justin Vernon for joining us on this song.”The post also revealed that the single will be released worldwide at 9am PST / 12pm EST / 5pm UK on Monday, August 22.
