Al Roker is set to undergo an operation. On Tuesday's episode of the show, the 65-year-old weatherman announced that he will be out for the rest of the week as he's having a total shoulder replacement due to his arthritis. «It's not bad during the day, but at night it's an intense pain that literally wakes me up,» Roker said of the pain in his right shoulder.

The show family — including Hoda Kotb, Savannah Guthrie, Carson Daly and Craig Melvin — were back in the studio on Wednesday's episode, marking the first time they've all been together on set since March due to the coronavirus pandemic.The team made sure to put some distance between themselves while hosting, and reflected on their time apart.«Like all families, being isolated from one another has been challenging,» Daly said. «It's been full of emotions.

Al Roker had reason to celebrate over the weekend, as his oldest daughter, Courtney Roker, 32, got engaged to Wesley Laga! Al took to Instagram to share the exciting news with his followers. He posted various selfies of Courtney and Wesley, where she’s proudly showing off her giant engagement ring to the camera. “I was waiting to get the ok, but now that it’s on her insta, we are so thrilled [Welsey] asked [Courtney] to marry him,” Al wrote. “Could not be more thrilled for these two.”

Engaged in quarantine! Al Roker's daughter, Courtney, took to Instagram over the weekend to share that news that she had gotten engaged to her longtime boyfriend, Wesley Laga, while in quarantine amid the coronavirus outbreak.

During the March 17 telecast of the NBC morning show, Savannah revealed, “Craig [Melvin, 40] and Al [Roker, 65] are out once again.” The host further explained to viewers, “We’re just being super, super cautious.

The co-anchors practiced social distancing by sitting several feet apart at their co-anchor desk on the show, and they made the announcement that two of their colleagues, Al Roker and Craig Melvin, would be taking the morning off due to the news of the diagnosis on-set.
