Midfielder Mason Mount is optimistic that his performance levels will start to improve following his summer move to Manchester United.

The midfielder, who helped Chelsea win the Champions League in 2021, has made a slow start to life at United, though he has not been helped by an injury that sidelined him for five matches. He has made six appearances so far, providing one assist.
But despite his early-season struggles, the midfielder is pleased with the way he has settled into life in M16, though he has ambitions to improve his performances.
"It has been a very good start," Mount told talkSPORT. "I mean, integrating in the team, understanding the way the manager wants to play.
"I am learning the players around me, how they play. It takes some time to understand that and get into a flow.
"I want to improve my performances but I think that will come over time. Also, performances as a group, I think we are getting there and we will keep continuing to work at that."
