Mason Greenwood will not play for Manchester United again, opening the door for a permanent move away from Old Trafford, according to reports.
The forward secured a transfer deadline-day loan switch to Spanish LaLiga side Getafe over the summer, where he has so far netted three goals and provided one assist across eight games in all competitions this season. The Reds had originally intended to reintegrate Greenwood into their first-team squad but backtracked after their plans were leaked, prompting a fierce backlash from supporters.
Charges of attempted rape, coercive behaviour and aggravated bodily harm against Greenwood were dropped in February and United conducted an internal investigation that lasted six months. Greenwood has always denied all allegations. Now, it is claimed that United have made a firm decision on his future at the club.

The Daily Express claims he won't play for United again after the backlash to his reportedly planned return this season. It means the forward will not be used by United boss Erik ten Hag despite the Reds' struggles in front of goal so far this campaign.
Elsewhere, Estadio Deportivo claims United are lining up a move for 29-year-old Argentina World Cup winner Guido Rodriguez. The defensive midfielder's current contract at Real Betis is set to expire at the end of the season, and the report claims United could look to sign him as a replacement for Casemiro.
Competition for Rodriguez's signature could be fierce, however, with the report adding that Barcelona are also looking at him as a potential signing.
