Coronation Street fans were left sharing the same response as Carla Connor finally found out Jenny Connor and Daisy Midgeley's lie. As viewers of the ITV soap know, serial killer Stephen Reid held Jenny and his own niece Sarah Barlow hostage in the Rovers Return before he was mowed down and killed by Peter Barlow in shock scenes aired in October.
But the landlady later had her deadly, late ex-partner to thank for getting the Rovers - which she had sold to Newton and Ridley before they sold it to Waterfords - back after Daisy located the money he had stolen the almost £250,000 from Underworld.
A panicked Jenny didn't know what to do but a stealy Daisy managed to convince her that they should use the hidden lump sum to buy the pub back but she promised Jenny they'd pay Carla back every penny.

So the pair brought back the Rovers and agreed to be secret co-owners, however, Daisy's co-ownership has since been uncovered and the pair claimed they got the money from her mother, Christina, after the bank turned down their loan application.
But the truth about where they got the money was first nearly exposed by Christina, who actually kept up the lie in a power move over her daughter. But it was Bethany Platt who was left intrigued after spotting Daisy stepping out of Tim Metcalfe's cab with multiple shopping bags after a major shopping spree.
Some digging, and a fake 'truce' later, and Bethany discovered the journal that belonged to her killer uncle and accused Daisy of using it to steal the money he had also stolen. She denied it and Daniel Osbourne
