Coronation Street fans have been left confused as a 'missing' character's exit was officially confirmed. Viewers of the ITV soap have noticed that Aggie Bailey, played by Loran Laidlaw, hasn't been seen on the cobbles since June last year.
During Wednesday night's (April 3) episode of Corrie, her exit was confirmed after her husband Ed, played by Trevor Michael Georges, arrived home from visiting her at her Auntie Marcel's. The Weatherfield General nurse had seemingly been caring for her ill relative.
But builder Ed appeared heartbroken as he walked through his front door to be greeted by his son Michael, who knew his mum had been lying to his dad due to a return of his gambling addiction.

"No mum," Michael enquired. "Is it Auntie Marcel?" In response, his dad said; "Auntie Marcel is fighting fit and has been for weeks," Ed informed him. "She's not the problem. But you know that."
As Michael said he didn't want to be the one to tell him not to go visit Aggie, Ed said defeatedly: "Oh it wouldn’t have made any difference if you had. I had to hear it for myself. She can’t forgive me. There’s no going back. I tried. I didn’t just roll over. I begged... "She's even given up her job at Wealthy General."
And Corrie fans were quick to respond to the news that Aggie's exit had seemingly been made permanent. @mikepriestley13 asked: "So Aggie isn’t coming back? #Corrie." @ScouseCommie echoed: "Aggie's never coming back, is she? #Corrie." @jackietyler616 posted: "Is that how they are treating Aggie Bailey? #Corrie."
