Coronation Street star once appeared in the show?Eagle-eyed viewers will be able to spot Tim Metcalfe star Joe Duttine in series one of Life On Mars, where he played Malcolm Cox in episode five.Joe looks worlds away from his cobbles character in the episode, dressed in seventies clothing including a brown leather jacket, patterned shirt and high waisted jeans - along with long brown hair flowing to his shoulders.He plays a pivotal role in the episode, when DI Sam Tyler, DCI Gene Hunt and WPC Annie Cartwright go undercover in a pub, to try find the person behind a murder.Joe's character is one of the many pub goers to be questioned, and later becomes a suspect, eventually revealing that he and a friend were behind the crime following a police chase.He is not the only Coronation Street star to have appeared in the smash hit time travelling crime series however.In series two, Toyah Battersby actress Georgia Taylor played a make-up sales person called Denise Williams, who has become involved in swinger's parties - with the team going undercover at one of the parties to investigate another murder.If that wasn't enough, one of the leading characters was played by none other than Emmerdale Will Taylor actor Dean Andrews, who starred as DS Ray Carling in both Life On Mars and it's spin-off series Ashes To Ashes, which was based in the eighties.With the show looking set to return following the announcement that a pilot episode had been written, could Dean make a return to the series?He previously told The Express: "It seems to be something that is still ongoing.

Coronation Street spoilers have teased more health woes for ailing Tim Metcalfe, as he isn't out of the woods after his heart op.Tim underwent a triple heart bypass recently after a routine medical check found something sinister with his ticker, and since his recovery he's been struggling to reignite the passion in the bedroom with wife Sally.But Tim simply hasn't been able to perform, with Sally urging him to see a doctor - and Tim determined to avoid the GP's surgery after the bad news he received last time.Next week, Tim is set to buy some raffle tickets from Debbie as she ramps up a charity fundraiser in memory of late tot Oliver.He isn't expecting to scoop a romantic night for two in one of her swanky hotels, and while Sally is busy packing their bags, he sneakily orders some erectile dysfunction tablets - stubbornly ignoring the warning about heart conditions.When they finally arrive at the hotel, the husband and wife kiss passionately, but Tim's heart soon starts to pound and he becomes short of breath.He has no choice but to confess to Sally that he's taken the erectile dysfunction tablet, and it isn't long before he collapses back on the bed - leaving a horrified Sally to frantically call an ambulance.Later in the week, Steve is busy telling Tim and Dev about his new doorbell camera app, just as Sally passes by No 1.

Coronation Street's Tim Metcalfe (Joe Duttine) makes a shock decision about his illness next week.He has been having issues in the bedroom with wife Sally Metcalfe (Sally Dynevor) in recent scenes.He agrees to seek medical help and Sally offers to accompany him to the doctor’s, but Tim insists he wants to go on his own.Kirk Sutherland (Andy Whyment) finds Tim loitering outside the medical centre and Tim makes excuses and does a runner.He later lies to wife Sally, making out that the doctor said his condition is nothing to worry about and perfectly normal after a major operation.After pledging to not keep secrets from Sally ever again, Tim is once again playing a dangerous game that’s bound to lead to trouble when she finds out. Fearing the worst, Craig shouts for someone to call an ambulance.Elsewhere, Sally Metcalfe (Sally Dynevor) returns from Gina’s to find Elaine Jones (Paula Wilcox) and Tim Metcalfe (Joe Duttine) ensconced in front of the TV.Realising that Elaine has got her feet well and truly under the table, Sally’s miffed.When Sally asserts that it’s time Elaine moved out so they can spend some time in the bedroom, Tim hides his anxiety.Sally finally bites the bullet and suggests to Elaine it is time she moved out.As they see her off Tim is sad to see her go whilst Sally can’t wait to take advantage of the empty house.
