Coronation Street's Lucy Fallon is ‘frustrated' and 'getting impatient' over waiting for proposal from boyfriend, Ryan Ledson, according to a body language expert. The 28 year old actress, who plays Bethany Platt on Corrie, is starring in brand new ITV show, Drama Queens, which allows soap fans to see the real lives of some of their favourite soap stars, including Ellie Leach, Brooke Vincent, Rita Simons, Amy Walsh, and Jorgie Porter.
The first episode aired on Wednesday, 10 April, and some of it focused on Lucy's life at home with Ryan, with whom she shares a one year old son, named Sonny Jude. But a body language expert thinks that Lucy is "getting impatient" and is "frustrated" as she waits for her boyfriend to pop the question.
Speaking on behalf of Betfair Casino, Darren Stanton said: “When she [Lucy] speaks about waiting to get engaged to Ryan, it’s clear it’s something Lucy really wants and is passionate about happening sometime soon. When she said, ‘it’s become a bit of a talking point,’ we can sense her true feelings about it, but she’s trying to brush it off as nothing.
"Lucy was trying to mask her emotions by using humour to play it cool and that she doesn’t mind waiting a bit longer for a ring. But, as she’s saying that, her smile comes across as slightly forced.
Lucy appears to be frustrated and getting impatient, which leaks through her impulsive hand gestures and inconsistent tone of voice. It tells us she wants to get her feelings out in the open as a proposal is important to her in the next level of their relationship." He also described Lucy as the "more dominant one" in the relationship, as he said: "She appears to be the one leading their dynamic.
