Dozens of buses serving communities across Greater Manchester have been hit by delays after a horror lunchtime crash opposite the bus station at Piccadilly Gardens.

Residents in a luxury city centre apartment block can now enjoy access to an electric Jaguar car included with their rent.
People calling Moda, Angel Gardens home will be able to book a Jaguar I-Pace SUV for up to 48 hours. It will be paid for by residents’ rents, which will cover insurance, charging costs, valeting and maintenance.
Jaguar says it will ‘closely monitor the success of this initiative’, and if it’s successful, will ‘consider expanding across major cities around the world’. The car company’s Managing Director, Rawdon Glover, added the firm is ‘exploring alternatives to direct car ownership’.

“This partnership with Jaguar offers our residents easy on-site access to an all-electric car, allowing them flexibility while being mindful of their carbon emissions, something which is another important step on that journey,” said Oscar Brooks, Executive Director of Moda. “Our longer-term aspiration is to provide access to sustainable transport to our growing 24,000 home pipeline.”
It is not the first time Moda has given residents a transport perk. In 2019, the first 50 residents to move into the 26-storey tower on Angel Square were given an annual Metrolink pass, if they had to commute out of zone one regularly.
Other perks at the opening of the 466-apartment block included access to a five-a-side rooftop football pitch, Uber credit, cookery classes and free use of a co-working space and private dining area for parties.
