Just a few days after revealing how The Talk will wrap its 15-season run this December, CBS announced today that it has ordered the new daytime drama The Gates to series and will premiere the soap in January 2025.

EXCLUSIVE: After bringing back CSI: Crime Scene Investigation with CSI: Vegas, CBS is looking to revive another Jerry Bruckheimer Television-produced crime procedural from the 2000s. The network is in negotiations with Warner Bros. TV for a reboot of Cold Case, which aired on CBS for seven seasons from 2003-2010, Deadline has learned. The followup comes from the series’ creator/executive producer Meredith Stiehm.

CBS has renewed the cop drama for Season 8 despite announcing its seventh season would be its last nearly a year ago. The latest drama marks the second time “S.W.A.T” has technically escaped cancellation, with CBS initially axing the show before announcing it would return for one last run.

A warning has been issued after a man risked his life by going inside an electricity substation in Stockport to try and rescue a cat. Electricity North West said engineers were called out to the substation on Banks Lane in Offerton last month after the feline was seen on the substation's roof.

Melrose Place is making a comeback with several original stars involved.

Heather Locklear (who was always billed as a “special guest star” back in the day, although once joining the drama she quickly took lead), Laura Leighton and Daphne Zuniga are all back to reprise their roles in the latest reboot, this time from writer Lauren Gussis. Gussis will also exec produce with Leighton, Zuniga, Tiffany Grant and Jason Weinberg.
