Former Recording Academy president and CEO Deborah Dugan has responded to her termination by the academy's board of trustees Monday (March 2), saying she is "disappointed" but "not surprised" by the decision."I was recruited and hired by the Recording Academy to make positive change; unfortunately, I was not able to do that as its CEO," Dugan's statement reads.
