Starz is developing “East Wing,” a half-hour comedy series starring “Will & Grace” alumna Debra Messing. It is created and written by Ali Wentworth (“Nightcap”), who will also appear in the series alongside Messing, and Liz Tuccillo (“Divorce”).

The crime drama “Hightown,” set in Cape Cod, combines three unlikely topics — the opioid epidemic, the LGBT community and some good old-fashioned murder.

“Vida” is coming to an end with its upcoming third season, Starz announced Wednesday.

“Power Book III: Raising Kanan” at Starz continues to build out its cast with the addition of Lovie Simone, Variety has learned exclusively.

Starz is the latest entertainment company to pull out of the annual SXSW festival over coronavirus concerns, a source tells Variety, canceling its screening and activation for Cape Cod crime drama series “Hightown” and its featured session for “Power.”

Fans of “Power” just hit the jackpot, as Starz has officially ordered another three shows set within the world of the show. The news comes just hours ahead of the series finale of the mothership show.

As the show prepares to close its sixth and final season in February, Starz has announced Clifford “Method Man” Smith will be joining the “Power” prequel, “Power Book 2: Ghost,” starring opposite Mary J. Blige. The network also released a first look image of the rapper’s character in the upcoming series.
