Paradox Interactive has made Stellaris, Cities: Skylines, and Surviving Mars free as part of its digital convention PDXCon Remixed.Publisher and developer Paradox Interactive has made three of their biggest titles free for this weekend, as part of a Steam Sale that is running alongside its digital fan convention.The games are currently available to play for free until 7pm BST on May 23.

Paradox Interactive has announced Victoria 3 at its digital fan convention PDXCon.The announcement comes 11 years after the launch of Victoria 2. The grand strategy series focusses on the economics, industrialisation, and diplomacy of the Victorian era.Games start in 1836 and continue through to 1936; players will be able to play as one of the many different nation states of the time period.

Europa Universalis IV‘s Game Director has apologised for what he calls “a long trail of low-quality releases”.In a post made on Paradox Interactive‘s official forum, Paradox Tinto Studio Manager and Europa Universalis IV Game Director Johan Andersson apologised for the disappointment regarding the recent Leviathan DLC, and other releases leading up to it.“Leviathan was one of the worst releases we have” said Andersson.

Paradox Interactive have temporarily put a hold on work on Imperator: Rome.In a post on their official forum Bevan Davies — Paradox’s segment and portfolio manager for strategy games — explained the changes to the development structure of the studio, which would see updates go on hold for the Roman focussed grand strategy game.“To make a long story short and simple: earlier this year, PDS has split into three distinct studios.
