Filmmaker Kathryn Bigelow has put her longtime home in L.A.’s Beverly Hills Post Office area, overlooking a wide swathe of the San Fernando Valley in the mountains above L.A.’s Studio City, back up for sale with a price tag of $10.9 million. The current ask is a substantial amount less than the $12.9 million the double Oscar winner originally asked when the secluded spread first popped up for sale almost a year and a half ago.

But unfortunately for Her Royal Highness, no buyer considering the luxe villa was willing to meet her at that lofty price point before the house was yanked off the market.

Mike Shinoda, co-founder of top-selling alt-rock band Linkin Park, has his celeb-pedigreed mansion in a guard-gated enclave in L.A.’s Beverly Hills Post Office area, a swank neighborhood the mountains between Beverly Hills and Sherman Oaks, Calif., on the market with a rock star price of $9.5 million.

Famously audacious RH CEO Gary Friedman is known for his big, brash bets on retail, to the tune of his $50 million, eye-popping showpiece of a RH Gallery in Manhattan’s Meatpacking District. Even as competitors shutter their physical store operations en masse, his strategy has paid off — the stock price for Restoration Hardware Holdings has jumped by a wild 850% over the past three years.

A remarkably private estate tucked into the mountains above Beverly Hills has debuted on the market, packing an aggressive but perhaps not entirely unreasonable $19.5 million pricetag. Long owned by the 1960s Chanel model Ann Davis Yeardye, the house is sited in a celeb-friendly pocket of the Beverly Hills Post Office area and is totally invisible from the streetfront, tucked away on a flag lot behind towering jet-black gates.

Yet another sky-high residential transaction has recorded in one of L.A.’s tonier zip codes. This time, a brand-new house tucked into the mountains above Beverly Hills — in an area of Los Angeles city known as Beverly Hills Post Office — sold for $37 million to Gary Friedman, the sociable and perma-tanned longtime CEO of RH (formerly Restoration Hardware.) The deal was first reported by the Wall Street Journal.

Linkin Park founding member Brad Delson and his longtime wife Elisa Doren are apparently looking for a change of scenery, having re-hoisted their longtime main L.A. residence onto the market with a $7.995 million thud. As it turns out, the couple have actually been attempting to sell the property since May of last year, when it was first listed with a more aggressive $8.5 million pricetag.
