Celebrity Gogglebox star and Happy Mondays dancer Mark Berry – aka Bez – has said he’s ‘lucky to be alive’ after a motorbike accident in February. The 59-year-old media personality was with a group of professional riders when he lost control of the front end of his bike and ended up off the road, breaking bones, ligaments, and his foot. He was near the mountains in Magaluf – the famous party region of Spanish island Majorca – when the crash happened, and admitted he is still ‘not quite right’ four months on.

Sigur Rós bassist Georg Hólm has admitted that he considered leaving Iceland after the band was accused of tax evasion.The Icelandic government accused the band of of evading 151m króna (£840,000) of tax between 2010 and 2014. Blaming an accounting error, they repaid the debt plus interest, but then faced a second prosecution for the same offence in 2020, which froze their assets. They have since been acquitted.At a similar time, their drummer Orri Páll Dýrason left the band following allegations of sexual misconduct by artist Megan Boyd, which he has consistently denied.“I really did feel like I can’t live in this sort of society,” Hólm told The Guardian.

Thania Garcia Bill Lee, the jazz bassist who played with Bob Dylan and Duke Ellington before composing scores for his son Spike Lee, died at his Brooklyn home on Wednesday morning. No cause of death has been confirmed. He was 94. The news was confirmed on Spike Lee’s official Instagram where he shared a series of portraits of his late father captured by David Charles Lee. He also shared The New York Times obituary and the album art for his 1989 film “Do The Right Thing” score, which Bill Lee composed. The late Lee also wrote the soundtracks for his son’s first three feature films: “She’s Gotta Have It” (1986), “School Daze” (1988), and “Mo’ Better Blues” (1990).
