The 62nd Annual Grammy Awards are taking place at Staples Center in Los Angeles tonight, though the minds of many of those in the arena — and across Los Angeles — are on the news that emerged earlier today of Los Angeles Lakers legend Kobe Bryant's tragic death. After Lizzo kicked the night off by shouting "We love you Kobe!" host Alicia Keys was joined on stage by Boyz II Men — who hail from Bryant's hometown of Philadelphia — to pay an emotional tribute to Bryant.

Billie Eilish, Camila Cabello and Lil Nas X delivered a flurry of live performances at the 62nd Grammy Awards – a night overshadowed by the death of Kobe Bryant.

Hours after news broke of Kobe Bryant’s death, the Recording Academy paid tribute to the NBA legend on the Grammys stage.
