The culmination of awards season is upon us! The 2020 Oscars are all set to take place on Feb. 9, 2020 at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles, California, where stars will be walking the red carpet and vying for that gold statuette. Oscar nominations were announced on Jan. 13, which was full of snubs and surprises — including Jennifer Lopez, Beyoncé, Taron Egerton, (as well as the acclaimed film's star, Awkwafina) and being locked out.

Florence Pugh is still reeling from the amazing surprise of being among the lucky few performers to be up for an Oscar when this year's nominees were announced early Monday morning.

Despite pushback in years past, the nominations for the 92nd Academy Awards are very white once again, with Cynthia Erivo being the only person of color nominated in the four acting categories. Actors like Awkwafina (), Eddie Murphy (), Jennifer Lopez () and Lupita Nyong’o () were snubbed from key races despite several nominations and wins leading up to this year’s ceremony. 

Cynthia Erivo not only made history, but she’s one step closer to completing her EGOT. The actress was nominated for two Oscars — Best Actress and Best Original Song — on Monday, for her portrayal of Harriet Tubman in the biopic . She also co-wrote and performs the film’s closing song, “Stand Up.” 

Jennifer Lopez is having a great time on her awards season journey, but she's not stressing over getting more accolades.

Adam Sandler is getting a ton of Oscar buzz for his performance in, but the celebrated star seems to be taking it all in stride.
