Manchester United are aware of the interest from Swansea City in assistant coach Eric Ramsay over their vacant managerial position.
Ramsay has been made the odds-on favourite by bookmakers' to take over at the Championship club, but the Manchester Evening News understands he is not currently the number-one choice for the role.

United feel the interest in Ramsay highlights what a highly-regarded coach he is, and while they wouldn't stand in his way if he wanted to take the opportunity, they would be sad to see him leave.
The 31-year-old previously spent nearly four years as a lead professional development phase coach at Swansea at the very start of his career before joining Shrewsbury Town as academy manager. Ramsay then moved onto Chelsea's academy before he made the move to Old Trafford in 2021, initially working as a set-piece coach under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
Since then, Ramsay has become an integral part of the coaching setup under both Ralf Rangnick and Erik ten Hag and remains one of the most highly-rated young coaches in the professional game.
A lot has been made of United's set-piece record, but Ramsay has taken on a much wider role since the arrival of Ten Hag, who wanted to keep him on his backroom staff alongside assistants Mitchell van der Gaag and Steve McClaren.
