Footballing legend Eric Cantona has announced new UK and European tour dates including a gig in Manchester. It follows his debut sold-out tour last October, which included a date at Manchester's Stoller Hall.
The former Manchester United player will bring his ‘Cantona Sings Eric’ tour to a number of UK venues in April this year, including Dublin, Glasgow, Leeds and London. He'll finish the eight-date tour in Manchester, taking to the stage at the Palace Theatre on Saturday, 20 April.
Presales for ‘Cantona Sings Eric’ will begin on Wednesday, 24 January, at 10am. Additional presales will run throughout the week, with general on-sale following on Friday, 26 January, at 10am via Ticketmaster.

The new tour dates follow last year's debut sold-out success in London and Manchester, which saw Cantona take to stage solo with just himself and a piano and a cello, stamping his mark on new artistic heights and musical endeavours.

From that day, the man dubbed the ‘enfant terrible’, the ‘wild boy’, ‘the brat’, but also crowned the ‘King’, has become known for his acting on stage and on screen, working with famous directors Alain Corneau and Ken Loach.
While he also paints, writes poetry and has picked up photography, as a further expression of his creativity off the pitch, more recently, he brought music into the picture, initially releasing songs, “The Friends We Lost” and “Tu Me Diras”, for which he wrote the music and lyrics in English and French.
