Manchester United supporters have been left with mixed emotions after unearthing past tweets of incoming chief executive officer Omar Berrada appearing to mock the club.
As reported on Saturday evening by the Manchester Evening News, Berrada is set to succeed Richard Arnold as United's new CEO after agreeing for him to take on this major responsibility.
Berrarda has worked directly with City since 2011, holding various positions of power during this period, and has most recently served as the club's chief football operations officer for the Sky Blues and other sides in the City Football Group.
The 46-year-old will not be able to officially become part of the Red Devils' new setup shaped by Sir Jim Ratcliffe until the end of the current season, providing fans with plenty of time to find out more about United's latest appointment.

This led to some supporters stumbling upon old posts shared by Berrada on X, formerly known as Twitter, in which he takes aim at United for their struggles on and off the pitch. The majority of the tweets are from David Moyes' Old Trafford tenure and poke fun at the Red Devils losing matches, conceding goals and pointing out that United overpaid for Angel Di Maria.
.
Some United fans were able to see the funny side of such tweets, meanwhile, others have expressed their concerns over his true views of the club after seemingly taking great pleasure in some of the club's darker days. Below are some examples of what has been said on social media in response to Berrada's past jibes.
