A lorry smashed into the front of a house after skidding on icy roads in Elgin
The Cambo Chinese Cash and Carry truck lost control due to wintry conditions on Convener Street in the town and struck two parked vehicles on Monday morning.
The truck then smashed into the front door of a bungalow cottage on the main road. The emergency services were called, with police officers and firefighters attending the crash.
The driver had to be cut from the vehicle and was taken to hospital.
Pictures from the scene show the vehicle involved inside a cordon. Damage to the front door and wall of the property can also be seen.
A source said: "The truck lost control on the ice covered road surface. It hits two cars and a house, destroying part of the wall structure.
"The driver had to be cut from the vehicle but his injuries are not thought to be life threatening. At the scene there were three fire units. They used cutting equipment and had to physically pull the truck from the wall using the rope."
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 11.30am on Monday, 4 December, police were called to a report of a crash involving a lorry and parked vehicles on Convener Street, Elgin.
