Two children and a woman have been taken to hospital after being hit by a car. Emergency services were called to the scene on Stanley Road, Kirkdale, after reports of a white Suzuki Vitara crashing into three pedestrians.
Paramedics helped those injured during the collision before taking them to hospital. It’s understood that the children thankfully escaped serious injuries while the woman received medical treatment for minor injuries.
The driver of the vehicle stopped at the scene and is assisting police with their enquiries, the Liverpool Echo reports.
A Merseyside Police spokesperson said: "We are appealing for information following a report of a collision involving three pedestrians and a car in Bootle this morning, Tuesday 12 December.
"At around 8.05am officers were called to a report of a collision involving a woman and two children on Stanely Road. The woman pedestrian sustained slight injuries has been taken to hospital.

"The two children were taken to hospital to be checked over as a precaution. The driver of the white Suzuki Vitara is assisting police with enquiries.
A road closure is in place at Lambeth Road and Stanley Road and we ask motorists to avoid the area."
Officers are appealing for witnesses and drivers who were in the vicinity at that time to come forward to help with the investigation.
