Police searching for a missing Scots woman have been speaking to members of the public in the area where she was last seen over two weeks ago. Laura Wilkie, 43, was last spotted sitting on a bench near the Millennium Bridge in Ayr at around 8.30pm on Monday, December 18.

A pensioner has been rushed to hospital after being attacked by a dog in Clackmannanshire.
The horrific incident took place at around 9.30am on Wednesday, December 20. Officers from Police Scotland were called after reports of a 77-year-old being injured by a dog on Dovecot Road in Tullibody.
Emergency services attended the scene and the woman was taken to hospital for treatment. The dog has now been seized and a police probe into the attack is underway.

A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: “At around 9.30am on Wednesday, December 20 we were called to a report of a 77-year-old woman having been injured by a dog on Dovecot Road, Tullibody, Alloa."
"Emergency services attended and the woman was taken to hospital for treatment. The dog has been seized and enquiries are ongoing.”
