Emmerdale’s Nicky Miligan (Lewis Cope) finally came out of his coma after being involved with a car accident. And his apparent ‘best mate’ Ethan Anderson (Emile John) has been arrested for the crime - following being involved in a hit and run. Ethan was left for dead in the episode that aired on Wednesday 22 May after being hit by a car - Caleb Miligan (William Ash), Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley) and Ruby Fox-Milian (Beth Cordingly) are the main suspects.
Ethan collapsed on Main Street with Manpreet Sharma (Rebecca Sarker) attempting to save his life. Next week, Nicky will be heading home to recover, but in real-life actor Lewis is in peak shape, which he often shows off on his social media. During a chat with the Mirror, Lewis revealed that while he got into dancing at a young age, while his brothers Adam, Danny and Peter all won the Northern area title as professional fighters.
Lewis explained: “I never got any stick at school – it probably helped that I had brothers in every year and that they were boxers. But I was also able to charm and joke with classmates, so it was never a big thing. I was very lucky, for somebody else it could have been different.” Lewis continued to joke: “I certainly won’t be getting in the ring with one of my brothers – my casting bracket would change if I did and I quite like my nose.” Lewis has however stepped into the boxing ring, on a television set, and revealed his muscular body in a snap on Instagram.

The on-screen duo is set to make a "controversial" exit from the ITV soap in summer 2024.
