'Legally Blonde' Prequel Series 'Elle' Ordered at Prime Video: Synopsis & Reese Witherspoon's Role Revealed!

Charlie Hunman is headed back to TV, and in a big way. Deadline reports that the British actor will lead the upcoming Prime Video series based on Ed Brubaker‘s graphic novel series “Criminal.” He joins a cast that already includes Adria Arjona, Richard Jenkins, and Kadeem Hardison.

Before that spinoff, another one arrives: “Dexter: Original Sin,” a ten-episode prequel series that centers on a young serial killer-in-training Dexter Morgan in early ’90s Miami.

Legally Blonde has become the first big MGM title to spawn a TV series for Prime Video. The Amazon streamer has ordered Elle, a Legally Blonde prequel series. It hails from the film franchise’s star Reese Witherspoon and her Hello Sunshine banner, part of Candle Media. The project is being unveiled at Prime Video’s inaugural upfront presentation today.

Michaela Zee Amazon MGM Studios has released the trailer for the comedy film “You’re Cordially Invited,” starring Reese Witherspoon and Will Ferrell. Per the official logline, “A woman (Witherspoon) planning her sister’s (Meredith Hagner) perfect wedding and the father (Ferrell) of a young bride-to-be (Geraldine Viswanathan) find out that they are double booked for their destination wedding at a remote resort on an island off the Georgia coast. When both parties decide to share the small venue, chaos ensues and disaster awaits.” The trailer features scenes of Ferrell and Witherspoon’s characters getting involved in chaotic situations, including a moment when Ferrell is wrestling an alligator in a hotel room.
