Emmerdale aired truly dramatic scenes in tonight’s episode that left one man dead - and another out to avenge them. In the Tuesday 28 May episode, Emmerdale lawyer Ethan Anderson collapsed and died.
The character, played by actor Emile John, was preparing to go to court over dangerous driving charges that left his friend gravely injured. Charles and Manpreet pulled up in their car where they were met by frantic Claudette Anderson (Flo Wilson).
Claudette said: “I’ve been going out of my mind.” Charles responded: “He’s gone mum. He’s dead. Ethan’s dead.” As Claudette asked about a cause of death, Charles was sure what happened was a result of the hit-and-run earlier in the week.
“We know what happened, he was run over. Someone knocked him down and a few days later… It's murder. And I swear by almighty God, I will not rest until whoever did this will pay for what they’ve done.” Ruby Fox-Miligan (Beth Cordingly), who last week was confirmed as the hit-and-run driver, was watching on, now fearing for her own future with Charles on the warpath.
Speaking about the episode, actor Kevin Mathurin said: “Charles has lost his one and only constant, his son, who he has been in his life throughout, when others have come and gone. Ethan has always been there. So now Charles has had to deal with a life without Ethan.” Charles hasn’t had
