Emmerdale viewers are convinced that Charity Dingle (played by Emma Atkins) is about to seriously hurt her husband Mackenzie Boyd (Lawrence Robb) and his fate could be sealed, as her Post-traumatic stress disorder seems to have spiralled out of control. The Woolpack pub landlord has been struggling to move forward after accidentally killing Damon "Harry" Harris at the start of this year, and was left incredibly traumatised by the terrifying events in a local warehouse. While Charity managed to save Mack from villainous Harry, she has been unable to sleep ever since she shot the latter, and has become increasingly reactive to loud noises and upsetting moments.
In the latest instalment, 21 February, the local mum was advised to go to the doctors' surgery to try and book an appointment, but ended up losing her rag and shouting at receptionist Ella (Paula Lane). The character opted to go and see Harry's grave instead, where she attempted to come to terms with her actions before kicking the cross on his grave. At first, it seemed like this did the trick, and Charity came home feeling much more relaxed and able to have a long nap.
She even excitedly encouraged Mackenzie to go to bed with her as she flirted away and seemed much more like her old self again. Unfortunately, Charity suffered a horrific night terror about the day she killed Harry, and woke up crying and shaking in fear. Taking to X, formerly known as Twitter, fans are convinced that the next step will be Charity "stabbing" and possibly killing her husband accidentally.
