Emmerdale has revealed some more details about the aftermath of Mackenzie Boyd being stabbed by his wife Charity Dingle. It has been confirmed that the character, played by Lawrence Robb, survives the ordeal but can his and Charity's relationship be repaired?
As viewers of the ITV soap know, Charity, played by Emma Atkins, accidentally turned killer when she rushed to save Mack over Christmas when he was kidnapped by villain Damon 'Harry' Harris who had beaten him black and blue in an abandoned warehouse with plans to finish him off for good following his doomed relationship with his daughter, Chloe Harris.
Since Charity shot Harry dead in their scuffle, Chloe has left the village with her and Mack's son and Charity has been secretly struggling with the fact she took someone's life. She has been struggling to sleep, double checking her home is always locked and jumping at loud noises ever since she shot Harry in self-defence.

But Charity's torment reached new heights during Thursday night's (February 22) trip to the Dales as, after her latest night terrors and visions of Harry triggered by loud noise, Charity feared for her safety and had a knife with her as she slept on the sofa - only for her to experience the nightmares again.
