Emmerdale fans point out huge blunder in Mackenzie hostage plot amid Chloe twist

Emmerdale viewers were left puzzled during tonight's instalment as they pointed out an obvious gaffe by the ITV soap involving Mackenzie Boyd's (played by Lawrence Robb) hostage storyline. Mack has been tied up to a chair for days now, after initially getting drunk and ditching wife Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins) in a bid to find his and Chloe Harris's (Jessie Elland) son Reuben.
In all that time, Mack has remained in the same position, and is still wearing the same clothes, prompting many to wonder how the character still appears to look completely dry despite not going to the toilet once. What's more, when Chloe betrayed her dad, the villainous Damon Harris (Robert Beck), and secretly gave her ex a knife to cut his rope binds free, fans were even more confused.
Mack appeared to be able to stand straight up and run across the warehouse in a break for freedom, and despite being banged up, he moved swiftly with only a slight hobble. While Chloe initially teasingly asked the father of her child if he needed "a nappy or a mop", while pretending to be on her dad's side, it was clear that Mack didn't seem desperate or wet as the camera filmed him.
Taking to X, formerly known as Twitter, fans questioned the realism of the plot, and particularly Mack's apparent ability to be able not to go to the toilet for days at a time. "When did Mack last go to the toilet? #Emmerdale," one person questioned.
