Emmerdale viewers are convinced they'd rumbled another exit from the hugely-popular ITV soap following the horrific car crash that killed teenager Heath Hope (played by Sebastian Dowling) on New Year's Day. While Cathy Hope (Gabrielle Dowling) is currently the police's top suspect who was illegally driving Wendy's car, following the latest twists in tonight's episode, 3 January, it seems likely that Angelica King (Rebecca Bakes) could have taken the wheel. April Windsor (Amelia Flanagan) told the police that she'd seen Cathy getting in the vehicle and driving off on New Year's Eve night, as the teens were desperate to attend a party in nearby town of Hotten.
And while Cathy insisted Angelica wanted to swap over mid-way through, police are yet to uncover the truth. As fans discussed what's next for the plot, with some predicting Aaron Dingle (Danny Miller) and Mackenzie Boyd (Lawrence Robb) were actually involved, many believe Angelica's true involvement in the crash will be revealed and she'll end up being carted off to prison, leaving the soap behind bars. Taking to X, formerly known as Twitter, to share their theories, one viewer predicted: "I do believe Cathy.
However, if Angelica doesn't tell the truth, she'll be in worse trouble with the Police. #Emmerdale." "This is easily resolved. CSI can lift prints from the steering wheel.
If Angelica's prints are there along with Cathy's then she's going to get a long list of charges. Lying to the police never goes down well #Emmerdale," another fan shared, with a foreboding sense of what's to come. Others continued to share their guesses over Angelica being the "guilty" driver, which would inevitably lead to her being arrested by the police and potentially sent to juvenile
