Denis Leary, O-T Fagbenle Join Netflix Dark Comedy Series ‘No Good Deed’ From ‘Dead to Me’ Creator

Joe Otterson TV Reporter Denis Leary and O-T Fagbenle have rounded out the cast of the upcoming Netflix series “No Good Deed,” Variety has learned. The series, which hails from “Dead to Me” creator Liz Feldman, is described as a half-hour dark comedy.
The first season will consist of eight episodes. The official description states that the show “follows three very different families vying to buy the very same 1920s Spanish style villa that they think will solve all their problems.
But as the sellers have already discovered, sometimes the home of your dreams can be a total nightmare.” Leary and Fagbenle are the latest additions to the cast. Previously announced cast members are Ray Romano as well as Linda Cardellini, Luke Wilson, Teyonah Parris, Abbi Jacobson, and Poppy Liu.
Leary will play Mikey, described as “an intense ex-con whose debts have driven him to desperate measures, Mikey finds himself in a dark hole after a terrible accident derailed his sobriety and pulled him away from his family.” Fagbenle will play Dennis, said to be a “tirelessly upbeat, deeply anxious and overly appeasing struggling writer, Dennis is in the market for a new family home for wife Carla (Teyonah Parris) and their baby on the way. He’s eager to play the role of supportive husband and father, while being caught in the middle of a tense relationship between his new wife and his overly enmeshed mother.” Fagbenle is known for his Emmy-nominated role in the hit Hulu series “The Handmaid’s Tale,” on which he starred as Luke.
